3 years old
Neutered Mix Male
15KG
HW Negative , all Vaccines are up-to-date
He loves being with his people once he is familiar wiht you.
Medium energy but needs an active home with lots of exercise. Super chill inside / wants and needs his outside walk time.
Housebroken: Oreo has never had an accident inside. He also will only go to the bathroom in the yard if he’s desperate. He does his business on walks. No yard, no problem.
Kennel Training: Good
Leash Etiquette: Oreo’s favourite thing is to go for walks! Generally he has lovely leash manners, but sometimes he does want to go faster... and pulls in hope. One jingle of his harness or leash and he runs to the door, sits down and waits to be harnessed/leashed. So nice. He has pretty good walking manners and mostly ignores other dogs on the walks.
Barker: He wont bark unnecessarily. I’ve only heard is voice on a few occasions. He’ll give a few warning barks if a stranger comes to the front door, and occasionally to other dogs. I think it’s an invitation to play, but can’t be sure.
His mom was rescued from a hoarder with 80 other dogs and Oreo was born shortly after. His sister Winnie (Meerae) and Bear are adopted in Canada through Koastal.
Knows basic commands. Oreo really is one smart cookie. He likes learning new skills and is treat motivated. Generally I think he just wants to please his people.
Foster mum notes: Oreo has a lot of energy. He is very agile and I know he wants to run, a lot.
Over the past month, the routine is to take Oreo for 4-5 walks a day, but of course they are on leash and limited to 15-20 min.
He is great in the house and usually just hangs out in his bed in the living room. He was allowed to go upstairs, and would casually come up when I was working in the office, but we had to block it off last week when we took on a catsitting gig. The cat is not really interested in dogs, and Oreo seems very, very curious about the cat, but they have not interacted. I actually think he would be good with a cat, it's just not my cat so I cannot risk a battle.
He has pretty good walking manners and mostly ignores other dogs on the walks.
ADOPTION FEE: $700
