Adopted to Vancouver Island, BC in October 2020

Tarae / Tucker

My friend Sunny sent me a picture of Tarae because she thought he looked like our Mocha. He was at a shelter in Korea and was on the euthanize short list. I messaged the rescue who had posted about him and connected with an amazing volunteer there named Yeonji. Together we hatched a plan and arranged to have Tarae sent to me and that I would find him a perfect home.

Sunny’s cousin was travelling at that time and we arranged for Tarae to be his flight buddy. We picked the big boy up at Vancouver airport after a long flight and loaded him into our car before opening his kennel to let him out. This is done as a safety precaution. I have heard so many stories about dogs who bolt when first adopted. His first steps on Canadian soil were at the ferry terminal. Securely double leashed we took a little walk and he was so curious and eager and friendly. I fell totally in love with him right there in my car. He has the most beautiful big head, kind heart and friendly spirit just like Mocha, so gentle and just so unbelievably unflappable!

He spent the first night with us and then next day he went to stay with his amazing foster family. He was quickly enjoying the west coast life off leash. He showed no signs of aggression at all. The cat told him off once and he listened.

Tarae spent a couple of weeks with his foster family and visited with us and others for walks and socialization. He loves every dog and human he meets. He is so special and if Stella did not hate him so much (like everyone who comes to the house) we would be rescue fails!

Monday November 1st 2020 is his official adoption day. I believe we have found him the perfect family with a great brother to play with of the same age. Have an amazing life Tarae, please don’t eat the chickens nor chase the goats! You will be amazing I know!
