Mocha

Adopted to Salt Spring Island, BC in September 2019

Mocha

Mocha is the polar opposite of her sister Stella. Sweet and timid and not a mean bone in her body. Here is what we know of her story.

Born in a work yard in Korea she and her mother were rescued and sent to California where at 5 months of age she was adopted by a family who wanted a puppy. Two months later they returned her because she was too much puppy for them. From there she was sent to Canada to Pawsitive Animal Rescue in Squamish, B.C.. My friend Sherry shared their post, with Mocha’s picture, online and I saw it. We had been talking about Stella needing a buddy so we sent in an application and by some miracle Erica chose us and the next week we headed to Squamish and picked up this amazing sweet gentle soul.

Mocha, we learned, is a Korean Sapsali/Sapsaree mix. (You can read more about this wonderful breed HERE)

Gentle and loyal, Mocha is very timid and her sister Stella runs circles around her … literally. I apologize daily to Mocha for giving her such a bossy sister but they actually love each other very much.

Then one day my friend Sunny in Korea sent me a picture of another Sapsali boy in Korea looking for a home …. and so it started.

Welcome to Koastal Dog Rescue!
